Bariatric Surgery is the surgery carried out to treat people with over and extreme obesity. Studies reveal that, Bariatric surgery is effective way to surgically reduce the excess obesity in population and reduced death rates due to severe obesity. There are diverse types of Bariatric surgeries performed. Surgery will be performed either in “open” approach or “laparoscopic” approach.

There are four varieties of surgery

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is a typical infection which is the major cause of peptic ulcer disease gastroenterology  and gastric cancer. Most people with H. pylori infection will never have any signs or symptoms. Diagnosis of this disease can be done using blood test, breath test, stool test, scope test. Treatment can be done using Proton pump inhibitors, Histamine (H-2) blockers, Bismuth subsalicylate. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are among the most widely used drugs and their widespread use is associated with increased gastro-intestinal toxic effects such as ulceration, hemorrhage, perforation and death. Using of Lansoprazole in the prophylaxis of acid aspiration during elective surgery is one the advance treatment in Digestive diseases.
